About The Gypsy Girl
The Gypsy Girl is a beautiful 1986 PALMBEACH/GAMEFISHER 30’ express with a Marlin tower.
She was built in De Oca Costa Rica, Hull #1. She is one of the pioneers of the sport fishing industry in Costa Rica. She is a cold molded wood boat with a single yanmar 315 hp engine.
She runs about 21knts which is fast enough to get to the fishing grounds. The palmbeach/gamefisher boats are known for their fish raising abilities with their clean water and small wakes.

April 2025 – Couples
What an incredible day! We booked the Gypsy Girl for a full day of offshore fishing, with hopes of catching a sailfish or a marlin. Catching a Marlin had been a dream of mine for years-and boy did we nail it. We ended the day catching a total of 6 sailfish, and a 575 lb Blue Marlin!!! It was a mind blowing experience for me.
The crew made our day all the more memorable because of their enthusiasm and energy, you could tell they truly love fishing and definitely know what they are doing. The boat was in immaculate condition, and the gear was well taken care of.
The deck hand, Christian, worked hard to keep the bait fresh, change gear when the bite was slow and helping my wife reel in her first sail. Captain Butch clearly has a lot of experience, and kept finding the fish. He is the best captain I have experienced on a fishing trip. He loves what he does, and it shows.
We will be fishing with this crew again, and cannot recommend them enough.
